Art & Ice Cream

This past weekend we had the pleasure of hanging with Liv’s new friend Sebastion.

Lucky for us our play date was scheduled for National Ice Cream Day!
The kids were thrilled when they heard we planned to get some cold treats in this heat. Union Market hosted DC Scoop which was a wonderful event with tastes of the best ice cream, gelatto, and other frozen treats. My fave frozen treat hands down was the Liv was entertained by the Boogie Babies musical guest while we stood in crazy long lines for our desserts. One of my favorite beverage brands Honesty set up a really cute pop up shop. A free photo booth was also part of the event that the kiddies enjoyed. Dolcezza Gelatto was hands down my favorite! They served up a blackberry flavor that was SO good! They have a few locations around the city so that is very convenient for my taste buds.

After we finished at the DC Scoop we headed over to ArtJamz so Liv and her buddy could unleash their inner creative!

Wagon Rides OH MY!!!

Per my title let me start off with my praise for my daughters Step 2 Wagon!

Her Auntie (or Anny as Liv affectionately calls her) gifted her with this double seated wagon for her first birthday! This wagon is so convenient and fun when she has a little friend over it’s a much cooler way to keep up with the kids then strollers ,and its definitely one item that will last her forever!

Liv is starting to get pretty popular with hosting these sleepovers ,and I must admit I just love entertaining little people so of course I had a jam packed weekend for the little ladies.

The weekend started off with SIX FLAGS! This is a weekly routine for my family that is guaranteed to wear little people out. The water park alone is a struggle to pull my daughter away from and every visit we HAVE to end with a FUNNEL CAKE SUNDAE so fattening and delish!

Sunday Funday we headed to Oxon Hill Farm so the girls could enjoy the animals. After a relaxing nature stroll, horse petting and watching the chickens strut in a line being handfed. We decided to head up the road to claim our spot for the Sunday night movie on the waterfront at the National Harbor. Mommy packed blankets, snacks, bubbles and crayons to busy the kids until sunset and SHOWTIME!

Smooth Feet

I stumbled across a quick and easy foot soak you can do at home!

Amazing frugal way to make your feet smooth and happy!

The ingredients can be found in your kitchen

  • 1 Cup of Hot Water
  • 1/2 Cup of Listerine
  • 1/2 Cup of Vinegar

Combine and Soak your feet for 15 minutes afterward give a gentle scrub to remove excess dead skin & moisturize accordingly for smooth feet.

So even when you can’t make it into the shop for a Pedi you can just stop by your kitchen, grab a few ingredients and treat yourself 🙂
